Sales Development Representative

Sterling is looking for a Sales Development Representative to be part of the sales department. Ideal candidates have a political or digital background, are familiar with our products sold, and are looking for a remote opportunity.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary from $70,000-90,000 a year based on experience; eligible for referral awards and commission

Responsibilities:

  • Sending outreach to their own network/connections (“warm leads”) in order to convert and earn commission
  • Responding to questions/interest from leads that come from outbound/inbound sales
  • Successfully pitch/convert leads to clients
  • Move leads through the sales pipeline and log interactions via Hubspot
  • Identify the best products/services to recommend to a potential client
  • Using the sales operations set in place to facilitate easy internal & external coordination
  • Conduct pitch & demo meetings as appropriate
  • Identify prospect’s needs and suggest appropriate products/services; Produce tailored proposals and presentations to potential clients
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with potential clients
  • Stay on top of product knowledge (features, benefits, weaknesses) and other products in the market
  • Identifying market changes/timelines and making recommendations for products to existing clients

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a CRM (Hubspot preferred)
  • Understanding of sales & conversion performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations/pitch/demo products
  • Knowledge of buying signals, what words/messages make leads buy, what questions to
    ask that lead to a conversion
  • Product knowledge
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales prospecting techniques like cold calling, cold emailing and social outreach
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Existing network in electoral campaigns, digital acquisition, or nonprofit fundraising.
